Executive Chinese Chef Hung Chi-Kwong uses locally sourced preserved meats and Chinese taro as the main ingredients, along with preserved duck leg and five-spice powder. This concept was inspired by the "Braised Duck Leg with Taro" clay pot dish. Chef Hung incorporated this idea into the making of taro cake to introduce new flavors and characteristics into this traditional delicacy. The rich flavors of the preserved meats blend with the creamy texture of the taro, resulting in a unique taste for the taro cake. Additionally, the deliciousness of the preserved duck leg meat and the aroma of the five-spice powder further enhance the delectability of this dish. Whether it's the texture or the flavor, this improved version of taro cake will take diners on a delightful journey of taste sensations.

Terms & Conditions
  • Chinese New Year puddings are available for redemption and pick up at Rùn, located on 2/F of the Hotel, on the chosen date between 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
  • Order must be placed at least 48 hours in advance before pick-up and subject to availability.
  • QR code must be presented for redemption and will not be replaced in case of loss; validity cannot be extended.
  • Each QR code can only be redeemed once, and must be redeemed and used on the selected date at The St. Regis Hong Kong; invalid after expiration. Unredeemed Chinese New Year puddings will be sent to local charities after the redemption period.
  • Under all circumstances, items purchased cannot be exchanged for cash, non-transferable and non-refundable; cannot be used for promotional activities without the written consent of The St. Regis Hong Kong.
